In selecting a location for development or occupation the following should be considered:

• Alternate Transport
• Distance from Urban Centre
• Mixed Use Development

Alternate Transport

Allow for the ability to promote alternative means of transport, hence reducing automobile use. Provide for bicycle parking with convenient changing facilities. The following should be considered selecting a location for a new occupancy:

• Bicycle parking for large % of building users with convenient changing/shower facilities
  
• Building located close to major ferry/bus/train lines.
  
• Building located close to shops/banks etc.

Mixed Use Development

To maximise human comfort by ensuring that outdoor public amenities such as plazas, sitting areas and rest areas are close to a potential new site.
